Abstract

There are three documents signed by the last Metroplitan of Gothia and Kafa Ignatius Gozadinov in the archives of the archpriest Trifillius Karatsoglu. The archives had been acquainted by the Odessa Society of History and Antiquities in 1914 from the Azov Greeks. Now the collection is kept in the depositories of the Institute of Manuscript of V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. Тhe documents were adressed to archpriest Trifillius Karatsoglu. Two documents were written in Russian, and one was written in Turkish with Hellenic (Karamanli) script. The return of Metropolitan and archpriest from Saint Petersburg to Samara Saint Michael monastery in autumn of 1779 is the subject of two documents, while the third one is the permit for Trifillius Karatsoglu for the trip to Kateynoslav in May 1782 in order to sanctify the Greek Church. Full texts of the documents, the translation of the Karamanli text and comments are peresented
