Abstract

In the article we have investigated 46 exemplars of six editions of works written in Polish language by the most prominent representative of Ukrainian baroque literature Ioanikii Galiatovsky, and also one exemplar of the work, which was mistakenly supposed to be written by him. These works are mostly polemic anti-Catholic and anti-Muslim treatises printed in the typography of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the typographies of archbishop Lazar Baranovych in Novgorod-Siversky and Chernihiv. We have provided bibliographic descriptions of the editions, fully stating each work title, signatures, fingerprint and bibliographies. We have analyzed the exemplars, artistic decoration, pagination specifics, defectiveness, bindings and proveniences. We have emphasized that the works of Ioanikii Galiatovsky were commonly present in the libraries of Ukrainian monasteries, educational institutions and those of famous secular and religious people, which is proved by the inscriptions and stamps in the investigated exemplars
