Abstract
The discipline of international relations is a dynamic science. The new incidents in this process and new concepts depending on the nature of these new incidents have been emerging. These incidents and concepts have contributed to the expansion of the discipline. The events taking place around Turkey in recent years have initiated a discussion on Turkish Foreign Policy. This discussion with the aim of describing the foreign policy has focused around the concept of “precious solitude”. The discussion on “precious solitude” has brought a new concept in literature and discipline. Another concept to qualify Turkish Foreign Policy, “conscious dynamism concept” has been proposed; however, a discussion around this concept has not been concerned. In this study, it is aimed to move both concepts on the scientific area. In this context, the emerging processes of both concepts will be handled. The position of Turkish Foreign Policy across both concepts will be discussed. It will be intellectualized if the nature of Turkish Foreign Policy is at the axis of “precious solitude” or “conscious dynamism”.
