Abstract
Results of researches in the eld of a coal seam hydraulic destruction application at carrying out of preparatory opening heading through high gas containing coal seams with the purpose of gas and gas-dynamic danger decrease are described. Danger of hazardous gas-dynamic phenomena initiation including such as sudden coal and gas outbursts, as well as possibility of high gas emission into the working area are the main factors in uencing the rate of preparatory works heading. It is stated that the fractures creation with hydraulic destruction in the unloaded massif initiates the in ow of methane, which is contained in the seam in free and adsorbed form into the borehole. The ways of a coal seam hydraulic destruction application at carrying out of preparatory workings considering the technological features of their heading are presented. A device for performing hydraulic destruction of a coal seam through the boreholes drilled into the face of a preparatory opening is presented.
