Abstract
The paper presents a seismic performance of RC frame structural analysis subjected to earthquake loading by using push over analysis. The model represents each story of the building by an assembly of vertical and horizontal elements and also introduces yield plastic hinges in an irregular framed structure. These yield hinges will give maximum bending at the given location. For this study, building models of L shaped, C shaped and Cruciform shaped are studied. The building shape in plan is such a way that the total area of a given structure remains the same so that the total dead load and live load of a given structure remain the same. Different parameters such as pushover curves, performance point and plastic hinges mechanism are studied. Model and numerical simulation is established using software SAP 2000.
