Abstract
The overview provides information on the state of the main neuromediator systems of rat brain in case of alcoholic intoxication. The influence of a single administration of ethanol, chronic alcohol intoxication as well as alcoholic withdrawal syndrome on functioning of the key neurotransmitters in various areas of the brain are discussed.
