Abstract
Background. Bronchi are most often affected by epithelial tumors. Bronchial lipoma and leiomyoma occur extremely rare. Aim. To demonstrate the results of successful treatment of benign bronchial tumors of mesenchymal origin. Material and methods. The paper describes clinical manifestations, morphological characteristic and surgical approach to bronchial lipoma and leiomyoma resection. Minimally invasive endoscopic procedures using argon plasma coagulation were performed to remove the tumor. Results. The post-operative period was smooth and the patients were discharged some days after the last intervention in satisfactory condition. Conclusion. Minimally invasive endoscopic procedures using argon plasma coagulation enable to remove effectively benign endobronchial tumors without performing traumatic resections.
