Abstract
To cope with today's communication needs, named data networking (NDN) has been introduced as a promising candidate for the future Internet. NDN is a new architecture, which is compatible with today's Internet. The elegance of its architecture and its adequateness to today's Internet usage make it a good candidate for the next generation of networks. This paper provides a brief introduction to NDN.
