This article examines the manifestation of radical apophatism in German and Russian poetry. Examples of manifestations of apophaticism in poetry are analyzed on the example of poem by poet and translator Paul Celan and philosopher and logic of A.A. Zinoviev. It is concluded that there is a need for a sacral distance between God and man, which in its radical form is indicated by the poetry of negative theology.
