The role of innovation as a strategic element of the investment activity of agricultural enterprises

Abstract
The aim of the research: to study economic nature, types and characteristics of investment in domestic agricultural production, the study of theoretical and methodological foundations of innovation and investment strategies of agricultural enterprises. Results: A management investment and innovative activity became the major constituent of any agricultural enterprise, oriented on strategic success in the hard competition terms of market economy. Thus, close mutual link of investments and innovations on an enterprise does not allow to examine these processes separated one from other, so as they are an independent sphere of economic activity of enterprise, associated with the financing and management of the process of upgrading all the elements of the functioning of the subjects; farming in a market economy. Conclusions: An effective tool for long-term management of investment activity of agricultural enterprises subordinated to the goals of the overall development in the environment of constant change operation is the investment strategy.
