Abstract
"Genius consists in an abnormal excess of intellect" [5, p. 150] .The first research in the early nine- teenth century was based on this field and aimed at the solution of the question about the correlation between genius and psychological disorders. Mood-creativity research reveals that people are most creative when they are in a positive mood and that mental illnesses such as depression or schizophrenia actually decrease creativity.
