Abstract
This article presents the methodology to use cubic splines interpolation method to fit the stress-strain curve, in the field of permanent deformation, based on experimental data obtained on performed tests on a standardized specimen of SAE 1020 steel hot rolled flat. The third-order polynomial for each interval between knots was used to fit the stress-strain curve.
