Abstract

The wearables have long been used in the healthcare sector, for example in hearing aids, in detecting health disorders such as sleep apnea and in detecting the blood pressure etc. As smartphones have become one of the necessary gadgets of our daily life we can use its potential to develop an application with the help of these devices to make the system easily wearable and mobile. This project describes the Android Application Which will continuously monitor the pulse rate of the user & collect the data. This data will be sent to the nearest people in the form of the text message as well as alarm generation just by pressing the smartphone screen for few seconds. This message will contain the pulse rate details and also changes in the location of handicapped people so that further emergency actions will be taken. The K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm will be used to find out the nearest people of the user. This system will be developed considering the handicapped people.
