Abstract
The high productivity of the quarries is the main motive for making a decision on the feasibility of their further technological development. However, in this case, the management of mining companies does not sufficiently take into account the losses incurred on land plots in the process of extraction of minerals. The article is devoted to the substantiation of the methodical approach to the estimation of the level of alienation and violation of land for the planning of open-pit mining objects. The necessity of taking into account the criteria of preservation of lands in the process of planning of technological objects of open mining is proved. The analysis of factors leading to the violation of land during open-pit mining operations is carried out. It was established that the magnitude of land degradation during extraction of minerals depends, first of all, on the accepted system of development of a quarry field and the method of conducting overlapping works. Proposed criteria that determine the expediency of additional land acquisition for the development of the deposit in terms of the importance of their conservation. It has been established that in conditions of further depletion of mineral deposits, the requirements of land conservation should increasingly influence the planning of mining objects, since the estimated loss in land in terms of money will significantly reduce the efficiency of mining development.
