THE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS PECULIARITIES IN SAINT-PETERSBURG

This article describes the principles and peculiar features of organization of local self-government in St. Petersburg,and includes general information about administrative-territorial devision of the city. Analyzed information consists of the the characteristics of the territorial devision of the city, the special status of the city and the data about the budget of St. Petersburg (based on data of the Committee of Finance of St. Petersburg). On the basis of the research the main features of the municipalities have been found: the municipalities have the direct link to state power at the level of the Federal city of St. Petersburg.
