Abstract

Improvement of Simmental cows by bulls of the red pied Holstein breed contributes to the increase of intensity of growth of heifers and milk production of cows. It is proved that higher cow milk yield differed crossbred animals of the first generation, which at the 369, 9 kg or 10.8 % higher than purebred contemporaries, however, the fat content of milk was 0.02 % lower than in the first. A similar pattern is established hybrids in growth rate and chemical composition of milk.
