Abstract
The paper presents information about the phytochemical analysis, antiproliferative and cytotoxic activities of Rhytidiadelphus triquetrus and Tortella tortuosa extracts. The cytotoxic activities of some extracts shows highest antiproliferative activities were detected with Lactate Dehydrogenase Leakage Assay. Sixteen components obtained from hexane extracts were determined by GC/MS. Palmitic acid was identified as the main component. The phenolic components of the other extracts were determined by HPLC-TOF/MS. 4-hydroxy benzoic acid, salicylic acid, gallic acid, caffeic acid, and gensitic acid were detected as the main components in all extracts. The hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate extracts of studied mosses and the EtOAc and hexane extracts of R. triquetrus showed statistically significant antiproliferative activities.
