Abstract
The analysis of the results of comparing different methods of grinding conducted in the research showed that the method of polishing with two platelets is the least productive since it is intended for grinding highprecision (3–4 degree) gear wheels. It is determined that the main problem of grinding gear wheels is to increase the processing efficiency while maintaining their qualitative characteristics and accuracy. The connection between providing of quality and productivity of processing of high-precision (3–4 degree) gear wheels and new technologies, a tool for grinding is established. The aim of the study is to increase the efficiency of grinding high-precision gear wheels using abrasive wheels of cubic boron nitride (CNB). In order to achieve the goal, the efficiency of the plate grinding wheels from the CNB on various connections was investigated and recommendations were given regarding their application in tooth grinding of high-precision toothed wheels. As a result of the study, it was concluded that, in all investigated processing modes, the grinding power using circles with CNB is lower 1,5–2 times than when using circles with an electrocorundum. Grinding circles with CNB provides the required precision machining of gear wheels (3–4 degrees) and surface roughness.
