Abstract
Portal, splenic and Superior mesenteric venous thrombosis usually occurs followin some predisposing factors such as coagulation abnormalities, trauma and post surgical states. spontaneous thrombosis is uncommon. here is a case report of such spontaneous thrombosis of the portal, splenic and mesenteric veins where no primary cause could be established.
