Abstract
The paper reviews the results of studies on the solid-phase reduction of the titanium-magnetite concentrate of the Krapivenskoye deposit, characterized by a high (up to 25 %) TiO2 and a complex structure of ore grains, at the level of decomposition of the solid solution. Conclusions and provisions of mineralogical studies were checked by studying the chemical composition of the residual grains of titanomagnetite, as well as the phases of slag and metal at different stages of recovery. A total of about 200 analyzes for the content of 12 elements were performed on a laser microanalyzer. Below, we outline our vision for the solid-phase reduction of titanomagnetite concentrate, and give recommendations on the rational size of the concentrate and the development of technological regimes for its recovery.
