Abstract

In this article authors highlights the process of progressive aging of population. The problem demands from the society new ways of working with the elderly. In this article we have tried to shows that volunteering can be effective resource for the provison of help to the older generation. Problems of the maladjusted youth are also equally relevant and important. Therefore, we try to solve the problems of involving young people to volunteer work with the elderly. It is peculiar to the typical maladjusted young people to search place in the system of social relations, therefore, the cooperation with the older generation helps them find it. Experience of the elderly and the ability to teach, and the presence of such an important resource as time help these categories to understand each other. Volunteer work and its further development combines these types of clients of social work and becomes an important step in building population welfare and social security. We are to take into account internal readiness of maladjusted young people to participate in volunteer activities and comply with mandatory rules: their participation in volunteer movement must be coordinated by parents and teachers; work must be safe for life, health and psyche; they are not to be distract from learning and the work is not to be monotonous; in each case an expression of their own initiative is to be present; making independent decisions is to be allowed and personal responsibility is to be stressed; we should clearly and specifically define the motivation (not to promise more than can be provided by a volunteer).
