On the Method for Evaluating the Performance of Government Bodies of the RF Subjects in the Field of Economic Development

The article explores the issue of organizing evaluation of regional executive bodies' activities in the field of economic development (as the principal element of public administration). The federal list of indicators for assessing the activities of the heads of regions (in terms of economic development indicators) approved during the administrative reform has been transformed into performance criteria for regional governments in accordance with their competencies. The author suggests a method for assessing the efficiency of executive bodies of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation in the field of economic development as a management tool that ensures the achievement of strategic goals of regional development.
