REALIZATION OF OLEXANDR ZAKHARENKO’S IDEAS OF HUMANE PEDAGOGY IN THE EXPERIENCE OF THE AUTHOR'S “SCHOOL OVER ROS”

Abstract

Introduction. The figure of the famous teacher of the last century Olexandr Zakharenko draws attention of his contemporaries by the fact that due to his efforts a little-known rural school in Sakhnivka turned into an experimental ground of progressive ideas. These ideas have enriched the theory and practice of education of pupils with original approaches and methods of organization of the educational process. Namely in Sakhnivka school O. Zakharenko's turning from an ordinary director to a known in Ukraine and abroad innovator, pioneer, known pedagogical thinker, creator of the author's school took place. Purpose is an attempt to make a historical overview of pages of Olexandr Antonovich Zakharenko's biography and draw attention of his contemporaries to the achievements of his educational heritage. Results. Olexandr Zakharenko's author school is presented as an educational institution not only for children but also for teachers and parents in the article. Namely thanks to this school O. Zakharenko became recognized as a founder of pedagogy of cooperation - a system of forms, methods and tools in the educational process, based on the principles of humanism and creativity to the development of the child. Like all other teachers, innovators, he proposed, justified and implemented in teaching practice these ideas: creative interaction between a teacher and a pupil; education without coercion; achieving the set goal through individual and collective approach to pupils' activities; creative self-government; personality-oriented approach to apprenticeship training; cooperation of teachers with parents, the community, etc. The teacher-innovator understood that the main task of the school director is creating in a a school atmosphere that would facilitate the spiritual development of pupils. Therefore, an important condition for creation of a spiritual atmosphere in a school O. Zakharenko considered joining efforts of teacher, student and parent community. In O. Zakharenko's author's school the system of "pedagogisation of parents" was created: parental lectures, a series of radio programs, evenings and holidays for parents, pages of school newspaper “Girls' mountains”, joint activities in the country club, written thanks to parents, etc. The main and most common idea of O. Zakharenko's educational system is the idea of unity as an all-common humane pedagogy law, which implies all the principles and rules of education. O. Zakharenko provided dialectical, deep life understanding and resolving to the unity of individual and collective goals and means of labor and moral education, individual educational impact. That is why the work of Academician Olexander Zakharenko astonishingly impress by their deep meaning - especially philosophical one. Conclusion. Drawing attention to the acute problems in the education of youth on human values, genuinely worrying about a gap between high words about patriotism and love for the Motherland and the real "modern patriotism" of those, on whom the fate of the Ukrainian state depends, Olexandr Antonovich remained optimistic. He professed ideas of “pedagogy of happiness”. We are lucky that Olexandr Antonovich lived and worked in Cherkasy region and our educational sacred duty is to study, to develop and to implement in life his wise and creative heritage.
