Abstract

Ticks are ectoparasites which are normally seen infesting animals and human beings and also have been reported from poultry. Over 20 ixodid tick species are often found on humans exposed to infested vegetation which includes Amblyomma species, Dermacentor spp. , Haemaphysalis spp. , Hyalomma spp. and Ixodes species. The present paper discuss on the presence of Haemaphysalis spp. tick in a man residing close to forest area.
