CONTRIBUTION OF INDIAN AUTHORS IN WEB OF SCIENCE: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF ARTS & HUMANITIES CITATION INDEX (A&HCI)

Abstract
The paper presents the bibliometric analysis of literature published with affiliation of India in Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) of Web of Science. 3234 publications in the journals of arts and humanities published by the authors of Indian institutions and indexed in the Arts & Humanities Citations Index between the years 1999-2017 and these 3234 publications have received 5138 citations in these 18 years. Standard bibliography techniques were implemented to analyze the publication data based on the factors like country-wise, author-wise or citation-wise figures. The study has revealed that publications by Indian authors is less in A&HCI as compared to three other Asian countries but there has been a gradual increase since 2011.
