William Dalrymple, an established Scottish born historian and travel writer is one of them. This research paper aims to explore further history and culture of India through the selected travel work of William Dalrymple, looking into conquests and defeats, invasions and subjugations, divisions and assimilations, cultural aspects etc., which made India what it is today especially his engagement with colonial and postcolonial history and discourse.
