The advancement of industrial engineering was begun with the birth of work study. Work study is simple but effective tool for organization to determine the standard time and increase the productivity. This is a review paper which presents practical implementation of work study technique in real world and the future scope of work. The core objective of work study is to identify and eliminate unnecessary activities. Work study technique is not limited only to the manufacturing industries but it can also be implemented in various sectors like textile industry, medical sector, bank, service organization and many more.
