ABOUT THE GENERAL FEATURES OF SEMANTIC MECHANISMS OF THE SECONDARY NOMINATION (THE CASE STUDY OF FRENCH ARGOT AND ANGLO-AMERICAN SLANG)

The purpose of this article is the characteristic of the general semantic mechanisms of the secondary nomination which is along with affixation, compounding, abbreviation, truncation, loans, etc., one of the most significant, economic and productive means of complement of lexical fund of modern French and English, in particular social subdi-alects. The main features and regularities of the processes of the secondary nomination are considered on the examples of Anglo-American slang and the French Argot.
