Abstract
The analysis of works devoted to the investigation of various methods of hardening and finishing processing shows that they make it possible to achieve an increase in wear resistance of parts of friction pairs operating under different conditions. However, there are no scientifically substantiated recommendations on the choice of optimal for specific friction pairs of technological processes from all existing methods of hardening. Most hardening methods allow you to control only part of the parameters required to improve wear resistance.
