Abstract
This work aims to present the preparation and investigation of wear rate due to environmental conditions of Al 6061 with nano Al2O3, micro SiC and graphite hybrid composite.. The reciprocating wear rate study was successfully conducted for newly developed nano hybrid aluminium metal matrix composite u s i n g reciprocating tribometer with the consideration of orthogonal array design. The dry wear rate study was conducted in various environmental conditions such as room temperature and at high temperatures of about 125⁰C for the fabricated HAlMMC. The res ult s p ro ved t ha t t he w ear ra te d epends on environmental conditions and the chemical elements present in the developed HAlMMC.
