Abstract
The article provides the information on necessity of students' independent work in the course of the study to ensure the acquisition and consolidation of the subject knowledge, as well as relevant organization and implementation issues. The authors suggest making scientific video films at the Outpatient Pediatrics Department of Smolensk State Medical University as an independent work option.
