Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of symbolization in social perception of celebration of the young Russians. The study object was 12-22 y. o. citizens of four Russian regions. The trends of disappearance of traditional subjectness of celebration activity due to holiday commercialization and its transformation into commodity are considered. The ritual's role in youth's perception of celebration is determined, the new phenomena of celebration symbolization at youth and consistencies of symbolization process development are allocated.
