Abstract
The research of the problem of motivational management has always been and remains relevant. After all, at the present stage of the formation of the world economy, the human factor becomes an important prerequisite for the development of society. The purpose of the article is to study the concept of «motivation» as an economic category and possible options for improving motivational processes. The article investigates scientific approaches to motivation, methods of personnel motivation, features of determining the motivation potential of the enterprise, place of the policy of motivation in the system of organization of the enterprise. The weaknesses of the motivation system in Ukraine are identified. The foreign experience of motivation on the example of Japan is analyzed. Taking into account the world experience, variants of improvement of motivational mechanisms in the system of management of domestic enterprises are offered. In particular, it is noted that measures in the field of motivation of labour should encourage employees to innovate activity, display of business and personal qualities, formation of adequate perception of motivational measures of the enterprise.
