Abstract
The article includes study of the following issue: determination of interrelation between operation area width and active mining operation line length in open pit, which ensures normal ore reserve and its impact on ore extraction productivity. The analysis of studies
in terms of mine operational capacity and ore reserves ready to be extracted was done. It was shown that the current methods of open pit productivity based on its mining resources determination includes only length of active mining operation line but width of operation area and its impact on length of mining operation line isn't included. By the example of conventional mine the impact of operation area width on active mining operation line and ore volume ready for extraction was shown. It was proved that when defining the open pit productivity the length of active mining operation line and width of operation area are to be considered not separately but considering their interrelation.
