Abstract
The article covers the contents of the documents from a personal fond of an academician of the NAS of Ukraine I. K. Bilodid. Brief biographical data on the fond creator as a linguist and science organizer in Ukraine is presented. The range of documents which can provide a source base for research into the history of Slavic Studies is determined, their information value is analyzed, and attempt is made to define the scholar’s contribution to the development of Slavic Studies in Ukraine. The author has defined that some of the documents contain various data covering the organization of Slavic research in Ukraine, its directions, and the information on Ukrainian Slavists’ participation in international Slavic forums. In particular, surnames and topics of speeches of Ukrainian scientists are indicated. It is proved that the documents provide a comprehensive information source for establishing the stages of Slavic Studies’ development in Ukraine.
