Abstract
The issue of development of preschoolers' prosocial behavior toward peers is discussed. Children's theory of mind and emotion understanding are considered as predictors of children's prosocial behavior. The data of foreign empirical studies on the relations of preschoolers' social cognitive abilities and their prosocial responses are presented. In the conclusion of this article the methods and devices which may promote developing of children's emotional and perceptual ability are indicated
