Abstract
The objective of this paper is to design computer based reliable parameter monitoring and power quality analysis system of induction motor. In this paper monitoring of the current waveform, voltage waveform, harmonic distortion, amplitude and level analysis, FFT power spectrum and spectral analysis has been done using LabVIEW and NI 6008 DAQ card. The voltage and current are measured by current transformer and potential transformer for various loads, its output is interfaced with computer by NI 6008 DAQ card and displayed using LabVIEW software. The hardware implementation includes a setting up of a test system which includes current transformers, step down voltage transformers, DAQ card and 3-phase squirrel cage induction motor with variable supply voltage by 3-phase variable auto transformer.
