Abstract
VANET is most popular network now-a-days which stands for vehicular ad-hoc network. A lots of work has been done in this field by researchers. Vehicular Ad hoc Networking is a special case of mobile ad hoc networking which provides communication among the vehicles and between the vehicles and nearby fixed equipments called road side units. In ad-hoc networks, to ensure the delivery of packets from sender to destination, each node must run a routing protocol. There are so many routing protocols in VANET, but in this research, location aided routing (LAR) protocol which is position based routing protocol has been chosen for efficient HANDOFF and propose enhancement in LAR protocol using multicasting tree maintenance technique and there will be comparison with already existing technique.
