BROADBAND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE IN THAILAND: ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Nowadays, the development in broadband technology has been accelerated, affecting the investment in expanding last mile connection infrastructures to be cheaper and can be installed as conveniently, quickly, and efficiently as wired line broadband technology, especially the utilization of efficient mobile networks in providing broadband services which enable broadband development to be accessible and cover the whole area of the country within a very short period of time. Therefore, wireless broadband development is another significant method for developing broadband in Thailand. The objective of this paper is to analyze the status of broadband telecommunications infrastructure in Thailand. Recommendations to develop broadband services in Thailand are also provided in this paper.
