Abstract
Geotechnical parameters of identification and performance play an important role in the design and construction of roads. The laboratory tests to determine the value of parameters of performance on the others remain costly in tropical countries. In this paper, we establish linear, logarithmic, exponential and power model correlation between two types of parameters from the results obtained in LABOGENIE (National Laboratory of Civil Engineering. in Cameroon) on 1021 representative samples. The performance of the developed correlations is examined on the representative and two specific samples in order to obtain the maximum effect of a combination of lateritic soil properties on the CBR (California Bearing Ratio) and Young modulus. Its usefulness is experimented with local data to determine the influence of global and specific correlations models between physical and mechanical parameters. The highest impact on the CBR and Young modulus is obtained by the representative and specific power models of the highest R-Square value for the studied samples.
