Abstract
This paper presents the experimental study on the utilization of waste rubber tire in concrete as a replacement with fine aggregate in different proportions. The use of waste rubber tire leads to the protection of environment and also it helps to preserve the natural aggregates. In this study the crumb rubber was used as a replacement of fine aggregates and was investigated for mechanical properties of M25 grade concrete as per IS 10262-2009. Three different properties of concrete were investigated that is compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength. According to the test results it was found that there is decrease in the compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength with the increase in the percentage of rubber content as compare to the nominal mix. The percentage replacement of fine aggregate with crumb rubber was 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%.
