DESIGN OF CONCENTRATED PARABOLIC DISH COLLECTOR FOR VAPOUR ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

Abstract
The solar concentrated parabolic dish collector was made to the heat water in the cylinder located at focal point and simple domestic Electrolux refrigeration system was also made. The equipment was tested on sunny days to supply heat to the generator of refrigeration system and the total system was run successfully. The lowest temperature of 90C was obtained inside the mini fridge of 40L capacity. The achieved maximum coefficient of performance is 0.172. The parabolic dish concentrated collector can be modified with respect to focal length and dish diameter. Automatic tracking system can also develop as per timing to move collector in the direction of sun. The material opportunities also considered while design the dish with reflectivity and thermal conductivity. This solar system may be implemented in future for air conditioning systems and other industrial heating applications
