PERFORMANCE OF UASB REACTOR AS A COMMON EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT: A CASE STUDY

The UASB reactor operated for the maximum daily average flow of 313.8 m3 /day (which is one third of its design capacity) and for the minimum daily average flow of 51.2 m3 /day (one eighteenth of the design capacity). The inlet COD and BOD of the mixed wastewater varied from 996 mg/l to 3965 mg/land 585 mg/l to 2202 mg/l respectively and that of TSS and TDS varied from 364 mg/l to 1256 mg/l and 1468 mg/l to 3134 mg/l respectively during the study period
