SABRİ F. ÜLGENER’DE ZİHNİYET

Bu çalışmanın konusunu Sabri F. Ülgener' in Osmanlı'nın Batı karşısında birçok değişiklik yapılmasına rağmen neden hala iktisâdi olarak gelişemediği sorunu üzerinden yapmış olduğu zihniyet analizini anlamaya çalışmak oluşturacaktır. Ülgener için zihniyetin ne anlam ifade ettiği ve bunun ahlâk ile arasındaki ayrımına değindikten sonra modern iktisat bilimi üzerine eleştirileri ve iktisat üzerindeki dini, tasavvufi etkiler Ülgener'in eserleri çerçevesinde ortaya konacaktır. Diğer taraftan Ülgener'in, zihniyet analizinin yapılmasında kullandığı kaynaklardan biri olan sanat eserlerine yaptığı vurgu tartışılacaktır. ABSTRACT The subject of this study will be to try to understand the analysis of the mentality that Sabri F. Ülgener has made over the question of why the Ottoman Empire still can not grow economically despite the many changes made to the West.After mentioning what mentality means for Ulgener and the difference between mentality and morals, the criticisims of Ulgener on modern economics and religious and mystical effects on the economy have been explained in the context of Ulgener's works. On the other hand, Ülgener's emphasis on art, which is one of the sources he uses in the analysis of mentality, will be discussed.
