IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AS A STRATEGIC PLANNING TECHNIQUE IN BUS RAPID TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

This study aims to use Important Performance Analysis (IPA) method as tool to determine strategic planning of Trans Padang BRT development program. The passenger perception on Trans Padang BRT operations performance was used as the data for analysis. The data was collected by interview to Trans Padang BRT passenger in Padang City, the level of performance and expectations of passenger on BRT operational performance were analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. From the analysis of data, this can be concluded that passengers are satisfied with Trans Padang BRT service. The factor that should be improved, i.e: ease of bus stop location is reached by passenger, design of bus stop for protection against hot and rainy weather, the availability of comfortable seating for passengers at bus stop, adequacy of Trans Padang BRT fleet serves passengers, the ability of the Trans Padang BRT fleet to transport all passengers at bus stop and the accuracy of departure schedule and arrival of Trans Padang BRT fleet
