Abstract
This study is focused on the field of safety for pedestrian in the traffic, and analysis of impact of the geometric parameters of the profile for the front part of at the distance of pedestrian-child throwing. In real cases of pedestrian accidents, the most common element known from the venue is the end throw position of the pedestrian after the crash, so the determination the speed of a vehicle depending on throw distance of pedestrian remains one of the most convenient models. The distance of pedestrian-child throw depends on many factors. The speed of the vehicle and the front profile of the vehicle are among the factors influencing pedestrian throw distance. In this regard our research is focused specifically on the angle impact determined by the upper edge of the bumper and the front edge of the bonnet engine in pedestrian-child throw distance. The research was conducted based on real cases of frontal pedestrian (child) crash in Kosovo and simultaneously software simulations were used to investigate the impact of the relevant factors. Based on the large number of investigations in real cases of pedestrian (children)-vehicle accidents, only four cases meeting the characteristics of the research conditions have been selected. The results obtained by the simulations of the pedestrian-vehicle collision process are presented through diagrams. Also the collision kinematics of the accident is compared with the data from the venue (damage recorded in the vehicles and final pedestrian positions after the accident).
