Abstract
A new type of concrete created by using anti-slip fine aggregates as percentages from ordinary fine aggregates (sand) , anti – slip aggregates used with epoxy to gives highest bond with old concretes in maintenance cracks or used in painting for floors to gives durable surface [ 1 ] , this investigation study the using of anti-slip aggregate as additive material in polymer modified concrete , the using of anti-slip gives very significant effects in strength , and very high values of compressive , tensile and flexural strength without using any super plasticizers or silica fume even in white aggregates concrete , white aggregates with low density and strength can gives high strength concrete in this study , anti-slip aggregates can doubled the compressive strength (200% increment) of white aggregate concrete , compressive strength of reference mix with 25.5 MPa of polymer white aggregate concrete improved to 52.9 MPa by total replacement of sand with anti-slip aggregate and also with black coarse aggregate concrete , the compressive strength increasing from 33 to 59 MPa. Also the tensile and flexural strength increased with using anti-slip aggregates in excellent values.
