Actualization the biographies of the heroes of the Ukrainian past in the South Ukrainian in the era of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917 - 1921

The purpose of this article is to study how, during the era of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, the images of the heroes of the Ukrainian past were formed and used in the historical thought of Southern Ukraine. It is pointed out that in those years Southern Ukraine was embraced by the general process of forming a new Ukrainian memory about its national heroes.
