Abstract
Recurrent carcinoma of larynx is on the rise as with primary carcinoma, due to various factors. A 60 year old male a known case of carcinoma left vocal cord underwent curative radiotherapy in July 2006 and was disease free for 4 years presented with recurrent carcinoma left vocal cord. The aim of this case report is to stress the importance of regular followup in diagnosing recurrent carcinoma larynx and the need to analyze the etiopathogenesis, differentiate recurrence from second primary, its evaluation and protocol for further management with curative or palliative intent depending upon the staging.
