Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is one of the major techniques that widely employed for emergency evacuation. By utilizing internet connection, wireless networks, cell phones and other communication technologies, the quality of evacuation can be improved. WSN allows a target monitoring, a hazard sensing, and data collecting and transferring to navigate the evacuees during hazards. This research aims to address congestion issues during the evacuation. It tries to balances the load of the evacuees among the different available paths of a confined area (i.e. building, campus, zoo, etc.). Our approach is based on WSN. It is intended to be adaptive, able to function in real time, and avoid congestion in calculating the evacuation paths
